It’s Friendship Day today. It’s a day when friends show that
they really care for each other. That they will always be there for them, no
matter what happens. Friendship is an emotion which cannot be expressed in
words. This is the beauty of friendship. On this day, friends tie ‘friendship
bands’ on each other’s wrists as a mark of their friendship. It is a gesture of
their affection and concern. True friends can just look at each other and their
words will be conveyed. Only a true friend can console another when nobody else
can, understand the other’s feelings. A true friend will celebrate in his pal’s
victories, give words of encouragement in his failures. There is not a trace of
jealously in true friendship. It is a pure emotion which comes straight from
the heart. There are many things which are spoken of only amongst friends.
Friendship is a golden thread which bonds many people. When we look back upon
the years, we will not remember our academic results but we will definitely
recall the sweet memories and happy times spent with friends. Friendship had no
bounds and restrictions. It is timeless. Our childhood pals often remain in our
circle of friends even after the passage of many years. Reunions are some of
the most joyous times in one’s life. One should have at least one true friend whom we can depend on even with our own life.
