Today on the auspicious event of the Indian Independence Day, I would like to express my feelings towards this great country, India, my motherland. On this day, 69 years ago, India gave birth to freedom and the world gave rise to a new nation. An Independence Day; be it of any country, gives us an opportunity to relive those moments when our ancestors cheered wildly, for they were finally free! An opportunity to express our gratitude toward the soil on which we were born, the nation whose food we eat. Patriotism does not only extend to fighting and displaying our valour on the borders of our country, though it is a very brave way to display this fathomless emotion.
We enjoy our liberty today; and many a times, we do not remember and respect the people who fought with all their heart and might for this independence. True patriotism is when we recall the struggles and protests of our predecessors, the innumerable, immense and tragic sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and keep in mind how fearless and bold these bravehearts must have been. These sacrifices were selfless, they were not made in expectations of badges or bravery medals. And we, the citizens of this country, the future of India should see to it that these sacrifices were not made in vain. We should spread awareness about education and its importance, help others and make the Indian flag fly and flutter high above the world. So, my brothers and sisters of India, let us join hands and pay respect to all our freedom fighters.Let us be bound by a bond of fraternity and unity and make India flourish!
Always remain Indian at heart! JAI HIND!

Suddenly, you will be thrust back in time and will feel as if you’re actually witnessing that moment all over again, like you did, all those years ago. It is, as if, no time has elapsed between then and now. Perhaps, that feeling is transient, but you cannot deny it. The camera captures what the mind perceives, what the eye sees. It enables us to hold on to the image formed by the thousands of electric impulses that zoomed from the optic nerve to the brain at that second. But, more often than not, we associate many moments with an emotion. Looking at the vast, all-encompassing cerulean ocean or the towering trees in a forest, I feel an unexplainable calm and peace. I question my existe...
